PPA61 Challenge using Faux Barn Board Technique

Here is another triple play card... I made this for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge this week which is a sketch challenge PPA61. I made my card a holiday card which meets the SCS Ways to Use it WT289 challenge. Lastly, I made the background using this weeks SCS tutorial which is the Faux Barn Board Technique. It was a fun card to make,,, I wanted to make a holiday card that was a bit atypical. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday but it doesn't seem to be a big card making favorite,,, or perhaps I am just biased ;-)
Thank you so much for looking!

A Triple Header Challenge Card

A triple header yay! This card is my submission for this weeks TLC291 challenge which is to use a tag, CC289 which is a color challenge to use Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabis and Cajun Craze. Lastly, the sketch is based on this weeks SC299 sketch. Not a lot of stamping here, just the sentiment from SU Teeny Tiny Wishes. Lots of embossing though. I used the polka dot and vintage wallpaper EF from SU and a border strip EF from CB. The bird is of course the SU bird punch. I had fun with this one... thanks for looking!

Christmas Tags

Here is my submission for this weeks TLC291 challenge which is to use a tag in your project. Well, this one is pretty clean and simple,,, I may need to do a more involved submission as this was fun. I used Very Vanilla, Real Red, SU Punch Pals images and the Sizzix Ornament Die. I then ran the ornament die using SU dots embossing folder. Thanks for looking.

A Clean & Simple Christmas Card

Here is my submission for today's Clean and Simple Challenge CAS85. The challenge today was a color challenge using Kraft, Red, Brown, Vanilla and an optional color choice of Orange. I inked the image (SU Dasher) in Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla and then mounted them onto Tangerine Tango, then onto Kraft. I embossed the Vanilla portion of the card with SU Snowflake Textured Impressions embossing folder. The DP is a retired Riding Hood Red DP. Thanks so much for looking!

A Headless Horseman PPA60

Here is my submission for this weeks PPA60 Challenge which is Halloween inspiration. I am a bit excited about this card because I finally had an original idea... I haven't seen this image made into a headless horseman anyway (and really, why would anybody!). In any case, I used the SU background Medallion Stamp and the glittered it up in black. I took the image from SU Out West set and made him into a silhouette and glittered him up as well. I then paper pierced the photo-corner punch and placed these on the corners (this and the medallion background stamp are inspired by Michelle Zindorff). I then made a glitter brad for the pumpkin head (I think the pumpkin head was my greatest challenge). Thanks for looking, hope you enjoy it!

A Fairy Garden Tea Party

Let there be cake!

I made individual cakes for each girl and the birthday girl had her own special fairy cake.
Everything is petite!

All the details...

Here is the birthday girl seated at the table, her expression is pure joy (goal acheived!)

After the girls had their lunch we returned to the tree to see if the fairies had visited. The fairies left their shimmery trails (glimmer spray) behind which is how we knew if the fairies had visited.

When the girls arrived they were able to choose a fairy house from the fairy tree where the fairies dwell.

A Fairy Garden Tea Party

Here are some pictures from my daughters 7th birthday party. It was a blast, I hope you enjoy the pictures.

This is my attempt at this weeks SCS Tutorial "Crimped Diamond". I really like how this technique looks with Whisper White or Very Vanilla CS... but I had to try Only Orange! Not sure of my thoughts about it just yet, but here you go. The image is retired SU Scary Skeleton. It is nearly impossible to see but I did paper pierce the diamond and then attempted faux stitching. Thanks for looking.

This was a quick, clean and simple card inspired by a post on Michelle Zindorffs blog. I used the Inspired by Nature set and punched cat tails using the Word Window punch... truth be told, I had to shorten the punch a bit, still easy peasy though! Then I added some white light enhancements and added photo corners.

Michelle's card is gorgeous if you would like to see it here:

Spider Web Greeting Card Kids

I love, love, love this SU stamp set. I love the vintage feel!
The main background was created using retired SU CS (Lavender Lace) and then debossed it using the SU Spider Web embossing folder. The top orange section was embellished with paper piercing. The main image was stamped on Very Vanilla CS, cut using SU's 2-1/2 Inch Circle Punch and then colored in using SU watercolor pencils. I daubered river rock around the edges and grounded her and made clouds with Basic Black. Thanks so much for looking!

Dark and Dreary

I loved making this card! It was created for this weeks Sketch Challenge SC297. I embossed the main background layer using the SU Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder onto Only Orange CS. The image is from Dark and Dreary and was stamped in black and then layered onto Basic Black CS which was embossed in the SU lattice embossing folder. I used the SU Dot, Dot, Dot stamp on the only orange to create my own DP. The sentiment is retired SU Chills & Thrills rub-ons. Thanks so much for looking and thanks to Rox for a great layout.

Day of Gratitude

This card was created for this weeks CAS83. The card background is Really Rust. I stamped the image (from SU stamp set Day of Gratitude) onto Very Vanilla and cut it into fourths and rounded the corners. I then framed the quarters with Old Olive. The sentiment is from Day of Gratitude and the flower was made using the Five Petal punch and the retired 3-flower punch. Thanks for looking!
