Daisy Scouts, Daisy Scouts 1-2-3

Hi all,
Today we had a Daisy Scout event at Build-A-Bear. The girls were celebrating a successful cookie sale season. My co-leader and I purchased these vest from B-A-B and I embellished 13 of them with a daisy petal using the Big Shot and Daisies Flower #2 Bigz Die. Yellow felt was also used for the Daisy tab. I am pleased at how well the girls enjoyed the vest and of course the visit to Build-A-Bear. What a fun day~~~

Floral Fantasy

I found this delicious paper from K & Co and I had to create something with it. I also created this card as part of the SCS Inspiration challenge. I attached the photo of the inspiration office and the card that I created. Enjoy!

Its Saturday!

Last night some friends and I had a card swap at my home. It was great fun and it is always wonderful to share and learn from one another! I will be posting photos of the cards soon. Well, after everyone left at about 10pm I stayed up until 2:30 working on this altered tin that I will give my daughter for her 6th birthday. The tin began its life as a Domino holder and has now becomed a pencil holder. It is a bit loud and dare I say garish but my DD will adore it! There is some hand doodling on this one. The stamp is a clear fairy stamp from inkadinkadoo.

Geisha Girl - SCS 228 Card Sketch Challenge

This is my submission for the SC228 challenge. Sorry the image isn't so great - I took the pic with my iPhone. I think I have my dimensions off a bit. My excuse is that I am a newbie, not only to SCS but also to the entire paper crafting hobby. That being said, I am pleased with the card. The Geisha girl I bought off of Ebay and do not have the stamp maker name - isn't she adorable? The sentiment stamp I believe is Faith, Hope, Love by Inkadoodle. Paper is SU Riding Hood Red CS and DP - the remaining paper is from the far east mat stack from DCWV. I filled the image in with SU inks. Thanks for looking!

Thoughts of Father

This is the card that I submitted to SCS CC218 Challenge. The challenge is to create a card using SU Summer Sun, Only Orange and Kiwi Kiss or Old Olive. I used the stamp set Thoughts of Father from Stampin Up and the sentiment is from the SU stamp set Heard from the Heart. The stamped images are both in Old Olive. I finished the card off using some pewter eyelets I believe I purchased from Michaels. This card will be going to my dad for his Birthday.

It was funny because I was dropping my daughter off at school today and there were three girls walking together, one was wearing a summer sun color top and the other a only orange top,,, now if only the other girl were wearing old olive... it was pretty funny to see the colors in real life and even more fun to know that I am translated what I see in real life into stamping!

Splitcoaststampers Challenge CAS14 - Let's Rock & Roll! TLC220 Bandanna Technique

This turned out to be a really fun challenge card! This card met two challenges. The first was - TLC220 "Bandanna Technique" and the second was CAS14 "Let's Rock & Roll"! The essence of the Bandanna challenge was to use an opaque white marker to embellish your card into a bandanna theme. I started with Red Riding Hood and Confetti SU Card Stock. The stamps used are Polka Dot Punches - for the bandanna theme, the flower from Wagon Full of Fun, and Hello from the Hello There stamp from the Goody-Goody Gumdrups set. The ink is Real Red and Bravo Burgand - this combo qualified for the CAS14 - Use a New Technique challenge. You just ink your stamp with the real red and then "rock and roll" the edges of the stamp in the bravo burgandy. The card was super fun to make and didn't seem to need any extra embellishments to pop. Thanks for looking!
